South Dakota Legislature on Residential Alcohol Detox Programs
To be eligible for clinically-managed residential detoxification services the client shall meet one of the following criteria: 1. The client is experiencing signs and symptoms of withdrawal that is manageable in this level of care; or 2. there is evidence that withdrawal is imminent based on history of substance intake, previous withdrawal history, present symptoms, physical conditions, or emotional, behavioral or cognitive condition.
