Alcohol Treatment Center
Twelve Oaks Treatment Center
Alcohol Addiction Treatment
Alcohol abuse is the most common form of recreational substance abuse in the United States, and alcohol use disorder, or alcoholism, is the most common type of chemical dependency. Alcohol use disorder affects about 16.5 million adults, aged 18 and above, though fewer than 8 percent of people with this disorder get the treatment that they need. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, alcohol-related death is the third-leading preventable cause of death in the United States.
It is virtually impossible to calculate the negative impact that alcohol abuse and alcohol use disorder can have had on individuals, families, and communities throughout the nation. On a personal level, alcohol abuse can inflict significant damage on a person’s physical and mental health, emotional wellbeing, financial stability, and social standing. Within society as a whole, alcohol abuse is associated with family discord, lost productivity in the workplace, increased crime, and a host of additional problems.
At Twelve Oaks Recovery Center, we understand what it means to be trapped in the downward spiral of uncontrolled alcohol abuse, and we have developed highly effective treatment methods to help men and women achieve and maintain long-term recovery and sobriety.
