South Middlesex Opportunity Council is a drug and alcohol rehab treatment center in Millbury, Massachusetts, that offers a transitional and sober living environment. Adults who are suffering from the effects of addiction can receive group and individual counseling through the Addiction Services component. Alcohol and/or drug addiction is the most common type of addiction.

The goal of addiction services is to help people understand the role of addiction in their lives, identify the triggers that lead to addiction, and build coping skills that will help them maintain abstinence and, in turn, enhance their quality of life. Despite the fact that abstinence is the ultimate aim, counseling services are tailored to “meet the person where they are” in terms of their desire to change.
