Our Medication-Assisted Outpatient Treatment. While counseling and therapy are important parts of recovery, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) has proven to be the most effective treatment for opiate addiction. MAT refers to the use of FDA-approved opioid addiction drugs such as Suboxone and methadone, as well as counseling and behavioral therapies, to address concerns such as withdrawal, cravings, and relapse prevention.
To successfully conquer addiction and maintain long-term recovery, this evidence-based treatment is frequently required. MAT is a therapy for opioid addiction, such as heroin and prescription medications, that is provided in an outpatient office environment.
