This 10-bed acute residential program provides a safe, healthy, and respectful environment for people who have completed detox or who do not require detoxification. Individuals work with a team that includes psychiatry, social workers, professional drug and alcohol counselors, substance misuse clinicians, and nurses to create the skills and resources needed to progress in recovery. Addiction education, relapse prevention, coping skills training, leisure education, 12-step recovery, women’s/concerns, men’s fitness, and medication-assisted treatment are among the topics covered in the program’s daily recovery skills groups, which run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The program also travels to community meetings to provide support. A case manager works with each person to provide aftercare referrals and arrange family gatherings.
