IOP is most suitable for those with a primary mental health diagnosis. Medication management, group therapy, and case management services are still available to patients. IOP permits patients to resume normal activities such as job, school, and hobbies. Participation in IOP might last anywhere from one to three weeks, depending on the individual’s treatment goals.
