MaineGeneral Medical Center’s trained, caring staff can assist you or a loved one who requires intensive outpatient services (IOP) for a mental health or substance use condition. Adults can get group therapy, individual and family counseling, and psychiatric referrals through our services. We also provide customized treatment for people who use multiple substances at the same time.

Clients often participate in group therapy and education sessions for four hours per day, four days per week, and for four to six weeks. Our programs are excellent for those who have just completed inpatient treatment or, in some situations, as an alternative to inpatient therapy.
