<p>Welcome to Wayside House &#8211; the historic and innovative addiction recovery program for women, by women. Wayside House was founded in 1974 by Dr. Susan B. Anthony, great niece and namesake of the women&#8217;s rights activist, and Phyllis Michelfelder. I feel very lucky to follow these two pioneers of women&#8217;s recovery.</p>
<p>We are so proud of the professional programs and services offered here and believe you will be amazed at our beautiful tropical setting. Our serene campus is complete with gazebo, brick walkways, gardens of flowers, herbs, vegetables and fruit trees, all tucked away with privacy from bustling downtown Delray Beach.</p>
<p>More importantly, we have a wide-ranging therapeutic program complete with the latest therapies for treating drug and alcohol addiction and co-occurring conditions, including eating disorders. To enhance the experience and increase our success rate, based on the 12-step program, we offer a wide variety of holistic services from equine therapy, to yoga, meditation and parenting education. We also help women prepare for employment and help them find jobs through our Posner Career Center</p>

<p class="p1 dkgray">Our OP program includes one group meeting per week and one individual session. The outpatient program requires a commitment of 3 hours per week. This level of care is an excellent way for clients to work, attend school or keep other commitments while still being able to attend treatment. OP treatment allows the client to slowly integrate back into the real world environment while benefiting from a peer-oriented, structured therapeutic program.</p>
<p class="p1 dkgray">Clients are seen a minimum of 1-3 hours a week. Services are based on each client’s needs.</p>

<div class="text_style"><b>Clinical Stabilization:</b> A major function of our Level 2 residential unit is to provide Structured Clinical Stabilization. Clinical stabilization is an intensive form of treatment that can be provided in either a structured or unstructured environment based upon the individual’s presenting needs. Clinical stabilization treatment focuses on cravings management, controlling access to illicit drugs, focuses on further physical stabilization, emotional and mental stabilization. Treatment teaches the individual real world coping skills to deal with disappointment, challenges and conflicts that could lead to continued drug use. Relapse issues such as trauma, physical health, mental health and serious recovery capital deficits are explored. The program uses a strong “Peer Pull-Up” regimen that leverages collective lived experiences and peer support. The program uses evidence-based practices including the use of medications and other therapeutic tools to achieve the goals of clinical stabilization.</div>

Relapse treatment is an intensive form of treatment that can be provided in an initial structured environment or an unstructured environment based upon the individual’s presenting needs. The goal of relapse treatment is <b>to prevent re-use</b> aimed toward a goal of life long recovery. Relapse treatment focuses on trigger identification and management, coping skills development to address life’s disappointment, challenges and conflicts while remaining drug free. The program uses a strong “Peer Pull-Up” regimen that leverages collective lived experiences and peer support. The program uses evidence-based practices including the use of medications and other therapeutic tools to achieve the goals of relapse treatment. The program also addresses recovery capital deficits and leverages recovery capital assets.</p>

Recovery Management begins at a base level across all treatment components and is intensified as an individual becomes more stable and is working a strong recovery program. The goal of Recovery Management is sustained recovery aimed toward the goal of life long recovery. Recovery management focuses on addressing critical recovery capital deficits and leverages recovery capital assets to assist clients in sustained recovery. In addition, Recovery Management helps improve social functioning and quality of life. The program uses a strong “Peer Connection &amp; Support” regimen that leverages collective lived experiences, peer support and community-based support systems. The program uses evidence-based practices including the use of medications and other therapeutic tools to achieve the goals of relapse treatment. The program provides an extensive set of living skills classes supported by the Life Skills Academy Program.</div>

<p>The qualified professional staff at Access Recovery Solutions also provide less intensive counseling on an individual, group, and/or family basis. We also include family members in one group per week with the patients as well as one group per week for family members without the patient to ensure that the family’s needs as well as the patient’s needs are addressed. Our family group aids loved ones in setting appropriate boundaries, educating them about substance use disorders and outpatient substance use disorder treatment to encourage family cohesion and develop an overall understanding of the family aspects of addiction.</p>
<h2>Intensive Outpatient Program:</h2>
<p>72 hours intensive group experience focused on the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, psycho educational, life skills training, relapse prevention, and Twelve Step/Mutual Support principles. We also educate, as well as recommend participation in All Addicts Anonymous, SMART Recovery, The Most Excellent Way, and Celebrate Recovery for those individuals who do not wish to participate in 12 step recovery.</p>
<h2>Screening and Assessment</h2>
<p>Screening and Assessment – Access Recovery Solutions will perform screening services on a walk-in basis and comprehensive mental health and substance use evaluations by appointment.</p>
<p>Access Recovery Solutions staff will also perform off site evaluations (jail, hospital, etc.) in Delray Beach and the surrounding area with appropriate prior scheduling. Expert testimony based on evaluation is also available with appropriate notice.</p>
