Welcome to Wayside House – the historic and innovative addiction recovery program for women, by women. Wayside House was founded in 1974 by Dr. Susan B. Anthony, great niece and namesake of the women’s rights activist, and Phyllis Michelfelder. I feel very lucky to follow these two pioneers of women’s recovery.

We are so proud of the professional programs and services offered here and believe you will be amazed at our beautiful tropical setting. Our serene campus is complete with gazebo, brick walkways, gardens of flowers, herbs, vegetables and fruit trees, all tucked away with privacy from bustling downtown Delray Beach.

More importantly, we have a wide-ranging therapeutic program complete with the latest therapies for treating drug and alcohol addiction and co-occurring conditions, including eating disorders. To enhance the experience and increase our success rate, based on the 12-step program, we offer a wide variety of holistic services from equine therapy, to yoga, meditation and parenting education. We also help women prepare for employment and help them find jobs through our Posner Career Center

Continuum of Alcohol Care

Effective recovery requires a continued commitment to treatment and sobriety. Royal Life Centers offers an integrated continuum of care that guides our guests through each stage of early sobriety. We offer a complete spectrum of care including Medical Detox, Residential Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Outpatient (OP), and Sober Living. Rather than having to re-establish relationships with peers and therapists at every new level of care, guests continue to build on their newly formed sober network as they progress through our program. This ultimately translates to higher quality care, improved satisfaction for our guests, and overall improved outcomes.

RECO Intensive specializes in both alcohol addiction treatment and drug addiction treatment. The model we use in our intensive outpatient treatment and partial hospitalization program is highly integrative, experiential, innovative, and personalized. To guide clients on the path to sobriety, our addiction treatment center’s mission incorporates treatment methodologies that cater to each individual as a whole — their mind, their body, and their spirit.

RECO Intensive’s partial hospitalization and outpatient program employs a progressive approach to addiction while taking into account the specific intricacies of each client’s needs. We also designed our modern, upscale Residential Housing Facilities in Florida to provide maximum comfort and safety to each of our clients. Once you take the first step with our mental health programs at Delray Beach, you will want a compassionate, confidential approach to recovery.

Since 1991, Lifeskills South Florida has been “a center of clinical excellence,” offering adults and their families Residential, and Outpatient mental health programs. Lifeskills offers a true continuum of care with a multidisciplinary treatment team approach. Our exceptionally skilled masters and doctoral level clinicians, provide the highest quality of clinical care. Lifeskills specializes in the treatment of substance use disorders.

Relapse Treatment: Another function of our Level 4 residential unit is to provide Structured Relapse Treatment. Relapse treatment is an intensive form of treatment that can be provided in an initial structured environment or an unstructured environment based upon the individual’s presenting needs. The goal of relapse treatment is to prevent re-use aimed toward a goal of life long recovery. Relapse treatment focuses on trigger identification and management, coping skills development to address life’s disappointment, challenges and conflicts while remaining drug free. The program uses a strong “Peer Pull-Up” regimen that leverages collective lived experiences and peer support. The program uses evidence-based practices including the use of medications and other therapeutic tools to achieve the goals of relapse treatment. The program also addresses recovery capital deficits and leverages recovery capital assets.

In many cases and with the assistance of a medical professional, it is possible for a person suffering from alcoholism to begin their treatment with a detoxification process, to safely remove all the alcohol in their system.

Once detoxification has been completed, patients can begin engaging in a wide range of holistic therapies to encourage taking responsibility for their addiction and behavior while under the influence of alcohol. Coming to terms with being an alcoholic and the damage caused is a vital step towards recovery. The qualified professional staff at Access Recovery Solutions also provide less intensive counseling on an individual, group, and/or family basis. We also include family members in one group per week with the patients as well as one group per week for family members without the patient to ensure that the family’s needs as well as the patient’s needs are addressed. Our family group aids loved ones in setting appropriate boundaries, educating them about substance use disorders and outpatient substance use disorder treatment to encourage family cohesion and develop an overall understanding of the family aspects of addiction.

Intensive Outpatient Program:

72 hours intensive group experience focused on the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, psycho educational, life skills training, relapse prevention, and Twelve Step/Mutual Support principles. We also educate, as well as recommend participation in All Addicts Anonymous, SMART Recovery, The Most Excellent Way, and Celebrate Recovery for those individuals who do not wish to participate in 12 step recovery.

Screening and Assessment

Screening and Assessment – Access Recovery Solutions will perform screening services on a walk-in basis and comprehensive mental health and substance use evaluations by appointment.

Access Recovery Solutions staff will also perform off site evaluations (jail, hospital, etc.) in Delray Beach and the surrounding area with appropriate prior scheduling. Expert testimony based on evaluation is also available with appropriate notice.
