AMHC has two Peer Recovery Centers that are staffed by peers and provide support services such as mentoring, education, and resource distribution to those in recovery. Caribou, Houlton, Calais, and Machias are among the locations where services are available.

In collaboration with hospitals in Aroostook, Hancock, and Washington Counties, AMHC provides grant money administration and payment support for inpatient and outpatient detoxification from alcohol addiction under a contract with Maine’s Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services.
