Maine Behavioral Healthcare provides inpatient care for children, adolescents, and adults with acute mental health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and co-occurring (mental health and substance use) disorders at Spring Harbor Hospital, Southern Maine Health Care, and Pen Bay Medical Center.

To guarantee easy and quick access as well as safe and effective transitions between programs, we are clinically integrated with partial inpatient, intensive outpatient, and community treatment centers. We offer information and referrals 24 hours a day, as well as voluntary and involuntary hospitalization and discharge preparation.
