East Bay Center Substance Abuse Services is now operated as East Bay Health Center – Adams-Farley at 610 Wampanoag Trail in Riverside. The facility is part of East Bay Community Action Program and provides outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment for adults, children, and families. Services include counseling, psychiatric care, medication support, court-ordered DUI treatment, toxicology testing, and peer recovery assistance.
Outpatient Counseling
The Adams-Farley center provides individual, group, and family counseling for people with mild, moderate, or serious mental health and substance use concerns. New referrals are managed through EBCAP’s ACCESS department. During screening, staff consider symptoms, safety, the reason for referral, and the level of care being requested.
General appointments are scheduled according to clinician and program availability. People experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis are prioritized and may be seen rapidly. The center’s extended weekday hours make it possible for some clients to attend treatment outside a standard work or school schedule.
Substance Use and DUI Services
Substance use services can address alcohol, drugs, relapse risk, family conflict, stress, and the behavioral patterns connected with continued use. The center also provides court-ordered DUI treatment and urine toxicology services. Clients referred by a court, attorney, probation officer, or the motor vehicle system should confirm the specific documentation and attendance requirements before beginning.
Peer recovery support is available to help clients connect with recovery resources and practical assistance. Peer specialists can offer encouragement based on lived experience and help people navigate treatment, community services, and recovery supports.
Psychiatry and Medication Support
Psychiatric services and medication support are available for clients whose substance use occurs with depression, anxiety, trauma, or another behavioral health condition. EBCAP’s broader behavioral health system also provides medication-assisted therapy for alcohol and opioid use disorders at selected East Bay locations. Clients should confirm which medication services are currently provided at Adams-Farley.
Treatment is coordinated around the individual’s needs. Staff may communicate with primary care providers, hospitals, schools, courts, or family members when authorized. People who require detoxification, residential rehabilitation, or hospital care can be referred to another provider while continuing outpatient support when appropriate.
Integrated Recovery and Community Services
EBCAP offers medical, dental, social, family, housing, employment, and community programs throughout the East Bay. These resources can help address barriers that interfere with recovery, including transportation, food insecurity, benefits, unstable housing, or untreated medical needs.
Because EBCAP operates several East Bay locations, clients may be referred to another center when a different clinician, schedule, medication service, or level of support is more appropriate.
Insurance and Access
The Adams-Farley center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party insurance. Services are also available to people who are uninsured or underinsured through a sliding-fee scale based on income and household size. New patients are welcome.
