Umass Memorial Inpatient Detox

Detox, an acute inpatient substance addiction treatment program offered by Community Healthlink, provides 24 hour nursing care and monitoring for clients detoxifying from drugs and alcohol. The length of stay varies every client, but the detoxification procedure typically lasts 4 to 6 days. For everyone who completes the program, an aftercare plan is created, and clients are offered assistance with aftercare placement and therapy.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has granted our detoxification program a three-year certification by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The detoxification program was praised by CARF for having a “consistent quality improvement focus” and integrating case management into the therapeutic process, which resulted in “thorough and comprehensive transition plans.”
