Each Valley Vista gender-specific program has been developed to provide treatment in an intimate, safe and secure therapeutic environment offering an assurance of anonymity, respect, dignity and validation for all program participants. Valley Vista inpatient treatment programs offer services from medically supervised detoxification to discharge and comprehensive aftercare planning, ensuring every participant departs with a continuum of care plan that supports their journey toward enduring recovery.
Valley Vista inpatient programs are clinically well-structured and feature a dedicated staff including a Program Director, Primary Therapists, Primary Therapist in Training, Continuing Care Specialists and 24-hour / 7 days-a-week floor supervision by trained recovery specialists, some of whom are certified recovery coaches. The psychiatric nurse practitioner is integrated as a part of each program.
- Medically supervised detoxification care provides for regular vitals checking at specified intervals by nursing staff; best practice medication assistance, prescribed as necessary, helping to mitigate withdrawal symptoms; and constant patient observation by attending staff members
- 24 x 7 voluntary inpatient residential care
- Mental health services provided by trained clinicians
- Medical services provided by 24 x 7 nursing staff supported by physicians assistants and staff doctors
- Individualized comprehensive care programming developed by the patient’s Primary Therapist
- Individual therapy / counseling conducted by patient’s Primary Therapist
- Family / relationship therapy available and conducted by the patient’s Primary Therapist
- Group therapy conducted by the clinical staff
- Recovery-focused groups and discussion lead by clinical staff, self-directed by patients, and outside 12-Step based facilitators
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy lead by the clinical staff

- Psycho-education groups lead by the clinical staff
- Insight to spirituality lead by the clinical staff
- Onsite and offsite (after seven days in treatment) 12-Step recovery meetings supported by community-based 12-Step programs
- Anger management conducted by the recovery staff
- Expressive art therapies lead by the recovery staff
- Music therapy facilitated by the recovery and outside staff
- Insight into accountability lead by the clinical staff and outside resources
- Yoga provided by outside and inside resources
- Twice-monthly meetings by Vermont Recovery Network
- Specialized dietary services for diabetes, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-intolerant and as needed or prescribed
- Laundry services twice weekly – wash and fold
- Comprehensive post-completion aftercare planning managed by the Continuing Care Specialist in collaboration with patient and Primary Therapist
